By booking an assessment, purchasing tuition, enrolling on a programme, or continuing to use our services, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms.
If you are booking tuition for a student under the age of 18, you confirm that you are their parent or legal guardian and have authority to enter into this agreement on their behalf.

Student means the individual receiving tuition.
Programme means any tutoring package, ongoing tuition arrangement, accelerator programme or educational service provided by Atlantis Tutors.

Lesson means any scheduled online tuition session.
3. Our Commitment
At Atlantis Tutors we are committed to providing a professional, personalised and supportive learning experience.
Every student receives tuition tailored to their individual strengths, weaknesses and academic goals.
Depending on the programme selected, this may include:
Personalised lesson planning
Structured one-to-one tuition
Homework designed around the student's needs
Regular assessment
Progress monitoring
Parent feedback
Academic guidance throughout the programme
While we aim to maximise every student's progress, academic outcomes are influenced by many factors outside our control, including independent study, school teaching, attendance, effort and examination performance.
4. Booking Assessments
Our free assessment is designed to evaluate a student's current mathematical ability and determine whether Atlantis Tutors is an appropriate fit for their educational needs.
Assessments are provided entirely free of charge and carry no obligation to purchase tuition.
Parents may also enrol directly onto tuition programmes without first completing a free assessment where Atlantis Tutors considers this appropriate.
4.1 Assessment Confirmation
To protect tutor availability and ensure assessment spaces are used effectively, all assessment bookings must be confirmed by the parent.
If confirmation has not been received at least two (2) hours before the scheduled assessment, Atlantis Tutors reserves the right to cancel the assessment without notice.
A cancelled assessment may be rearranged at the discretion of Atlantis Tutors.
4.2 Missed Assessments
If a parent or student fails to attend a scheduled assessment without reasonable notice, Atlantis Tutors may:
refuse future assessment bookings;
require additional confirmation before accepting future bookings;
decline to provide future services where repeated no-shows occur.
These decisions are made solely to protect tutor time and maintain fairness for all families.
5. Tuition Services
Atlantis Tutors provides online GCSE Mathematics tuition delivered by trained tutors using a structured teaching system.
Lessons are tailored to each individual student's ability and learning needs.
Unless otherwise agreed, lessons are typically sixty (60) minutes in duration.
Certain programmes may include longer sessions where appropriate.
5.1 Tutor Allocation
Atlantis Tutors will allocate a tutor whom we believe is best suited to the student's needs.
While we always aim to provide continuity, we reserve the right to change tutors where reasonably necessary, including but not limited to:
illness;
annual leave;
internships;
unforeseen personal circumstances;
staffing changes;
operational requirements.
Where a tutor change is necessary, Atlantis Tutors will provide another tutor who has received comparable training and follows the same teaching methodology wherever reasonably possible.
Enrollment with Atlantis Tutors does not guarantee tuition from any specific tutor.
5.2 Lesson Scheduling
Lesson times are agreed with parents before tuition begins.
Atlantis Tutors will always make reasonable efforts to maintain agreed lesson times.
Where a timetable change becomes necessary, we will work with parents to arrange a mutually suitable alternative.
Atlantis Tutors cannot guarantee that every requested reschedule or preferred lesson time will always be available.
5.3 Programme Structure
Each student's tuition programme is individually agreed between Atlantis Tutors and the parent before tuition begins.
Programmes may include:
ongoing weekly tuition;
intensive tuition programmes;
accelerator programmes;
revision programmes;
or other personalised educational services.
Programme lengths, lesson frequency and educational objectives are agreed individually and may therefore vary between students.
Parents may not pause an agreed programme unless Atlantis Tutors provides written approval.
Where Atlantis Tutors is responsible for missed tuition, affected sessions will normally be rearranged or the programme extended accordingly.
5.4 Online Lessons
All tuition is currently delivered online using Google Meet.
Parents are responsible for ensuring that students have:
a suitable internet connection;
an appropriate device;
a quiet learning environment;
access to lesson materials where required.
Students are expected to attend lessons punctually and ready to learn.
5.5 Communication During Tuition
Tutors may communicate directly with students only where parental consent has been provided.
Such communication will be limited to educational purposes including:
homework;
lesson reminders;
scheduling;
GCSE Mathematics support;
answering academic questions;
general educational guidance.
Tutors will not use direct communication with students for any unrelated purpose.
5.6 Lesson Recordings
Lessons are not routinely recorded.
Where Atlantis Tutors believes recording a lesson would benefit the student's learning, written consent will always be obtained from the parent or legal guardian before recording takes place.
Any recordings remain the property of Atlantis Tutors Limited and will only be used for the educational purpose for which consent was obtained.
6. Payments
6.1 Payment Before Tuition
A student's place is not secured until the required payment has been successfully received.
Depending on the programme selected, this may be:
a deposit;
an upfront payment; or
the first scheduled instalment.
Atlantis Tutors reserves the right to offer a student's lesson time to another family until payment has been received.
6.2 Instalment Plans
Where Atlantis Tutors agrees to offer payment by instalments, parents agree to make each payment by its agreed due date.
Failure to make an instalment may result in tuition being paused until payment has been received.
If instalment payments cease altogether or remain outstanding for an unreasonable period, Atlantis Tutors reserves the right to terminate the student's programme.
Termination of tuition does not remove the parent's responsibility to pay any outstanding fees already due under the agreed payment schedule.
6.3 Payment Processing
Payments are processed securely through Stripe.
Atlantis Tutors does not store or have access to customers' full payment card details.
If Stripe experiences technical difficulties which prevent payment from being processed, Atlantis Tutors will work with the parent to arrange an alternative payment method.
Where payment cannot be completed solely because of a verified Stripe technical issue, Atlantis Tutors will not treat the payment as overdue.
6.4 Late Payments
Atlantis Tutors does not charge late payment fees.
However, where payment remains outstanding, Atlantis Tutors may:
pause future lessons;
postpone future bookings;
withhold progress reports or programme continuation;
suspend access to tuition until payment has been received.
6.5 Programme Pricing
Programme fees are agreed before tuition begins.
Prices may vary depending on:
programme type;
lesson frequency;
lesson duration;
tutor allocation;
promotional offers.
Any promotional pricing applies only to the specific programme offered and does not guarantee future pricing.
7. Refund Policy
7.1 Before Tuition Begins
Parents may cancel a booked programme before tuition begins and receive a full refund of any tuition fees already paid.
Refunds will normally be processed using the original payment method wherever reasonably possible.
7.2 After Tuition Begins
Once tuition has commenced, payments are generally non-refundable except where required by applicable law.
This includes circumstances where a parent chooses to discontinue tuition before completing the agreed programme.
Nothing in these Terms affects any statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.
7.3 Where Atlantis Tutors Cannot Deliver Tuition
If Atlantis Tutors is unable to provide an agreed lesson due to circumstances within our control, we will, where reasonably possible:
rearrange the lesson; or
extend the programme accordingly; or
provide a refund for the affected lesson where rearrangement is not reasonably possible.
The appropriate remedy will be determined by Atlantis Tutors based on the circumstances.
8. Cancellations and Rescheduling
8.1 Parent Rescheduling Requests
Parents may request to reschedule a lesson by notifying Atlantis Tutors before 11:59 pm on the day before the scheduled lesson.
Rescheduling requests are always subject to tutor availability and cannot be guaranteed.
Atlantis Tutors will make reasonable efforts to accommodate requests wherever possible.
8.2 Late Cancellation Requests
Where a parent requests to cancel or reschedule after the notice period has expired, the outcome will be determined at the tutor's discretion.
Depending on the circumstances, the tutor may:
rearrange the lesson;
shorten the rearranged lesson;
or treat the lesson as missed.
Each situation will be considered individually.
8.3 Atlantis Tutors Rescheduling
If Atlantis Tutors needs to rearrange a lesson, we will normally provide at least twenty-four (24) hours' notice wherever reasonably possible.
Where less than twenty-four hours' notice is provided due to unforeseen circumstances, Atlantis Tutors will add an additional thirty (30) minutes to the rearranged lesson at no additional cost as a gesture of goodwill.
9. Missed Lessons
9.1 Student Non-Attendance
If a student fails to attend a scheduled lesson without prior notice, Atlantis Tutors reserves the right to charge a £10 administration fee.
This fee is paid directly to the allocated tutor to compensate them for the reserved lesson time and is not retained by Atlantis Tutors.
Repeated missed lessons may result in Atlantis Tutors reviewing whether ongoing tuition remains appropriate.
9.2 Late Arrival
Students are expected to attend lessons punctually.
Where a student joins significantly late, the tutor may, at their reasonable discretion:
continue the lesson as scheduled;
shorten the lesson;
or rearrange part of the lesson where appropriate.
Atlantis Tutors cannot guarantee that late arrivals will receive the full scheduled lesson duration.
9.3 Internet or Technical Issues
Parents are responsible for ensuring that students have access to a suitable internet connection and appropriate equipment before each lesson.
Where technical issues occur on the student's side, Atlantis Tutors cannot guarantee that lost lesson time will be replaced.
Where technical issues occur on the tutor's side and significantly affect the lesson, Atlantis Tutors will ensure that any lost teaching time is made up during a future lesson or by another mutually agreed arrangement.
9.4 Persistent Attendance Issues
Atlantis Tutors reserves the right to review or terminate tuition where repeated lateness, missed lessons or failure to engage significantly impacts the effectiveness of the programme.
Parents will normally be contacted before such action is taken.
10. Homework and Independent Study
Homework forms an essential part of every Atlantis Tutors programme.
Students are expected to complete all assigned homework to the best of their ability and submit it by the agreed deadline.
If a student experiences difficulty completing homework, the parent or student should notify Atlantis Tutors before the deadline wherever reasonably possible.
Failure to complete homework may reduce the effectiveness of tuition and may invalidate any academic guarantee offered under the student's programme.
Parents agree to encourage and support regular independent study outside scheduled tuition sessions.
11. Attendance Expectations
Students are expected to:
attend every scheduled lesson;
arrive on time;
participate actively throughout the lesson;
complete homework by agreed deadlines;
engage positively with tutor feedback.
Regular attendance and independent study are essential components of achieving strong academic progress.
Atlantis Tutors cannot accept responsibility for reduced academic progress where students fail to meet these expectations.
12. Academic Guarantee
Atlantis Tutors may, from time to time, offer an academic guarantee as part of specific tuition programmes.
Any guarantee applies only where it is explicitly stated in writing as part of the student's programme.
Unless expressly stated, no tuition programme includes an academic guarantee.
12.1 Eligibility
The guarantee applies only to the specific programme, student and academic objective stated at the time of enrolment.
Guarantees cannot be transferred to another programme, student or academic year.
12.2 Guarantee Outcome
Where a qualifying student successfully completes every requirement of an eligible guaranteed programme but does not achieve the guaranteed academic outcome, Atlantis Tutors will continue providing tuition free of charge until the guaranteed outcome has been achieved.
The guarantee does not provide a cash refund unless Atlantis Tutors expressly agrees otherwise in writing.
The free tuition provided under the guarantee will continue only while the student continues to satisfy all guarantee conditions.
12.3 Conditions of the Guarantee
The guarantee applies only if all of the following conditions are met throughout the programme:
Every scheduled lesson is attended.
The student arrives on time for every lesson.
Every piece of homework is completed to a satisfactory standard.
Homework is submitted by the agreed deadline.
Every progress assessment requested by Atlantis Tutors is completed.
Parents cooperate with lesson scheduling.
Parents and students follow reasonable academic recommendations provided by Atlantis Tutors.
All tuition fees are paid in full and on time.
The student actively participates during lessons and demonstrates reasonable effort throughout the programme.
Failure to satisfy any of the above conditions may invalidate the guarantee.
Atlantis Tutors reserves the right to determine whether these conditions have been satisfied, acting reasonably and in good faith.
12.4 Illness
Atlantis Tutors understands that illness may occasionally prevent attendance or homework completion.
Where illness affects participation:
parents should notify Atlantis Tutors as soon as reasonably possible;
missed lessons should be rearranged where practical;
homework extensions may be granted at Atlantis Tutors' discretion.
Provided the extended deadline is met and all other guarantee conditions continue to be satisfied, the guarantee will remain valid.
Repeated illness or prolonged absence may require the programme timeline to be extended before the guarantee can be assessed.
12.5 Circumstances Outside Our Control
The guarantee does not apply where academic outcomes are materially affected by circumstances outside the reasonable control of Atlantis Tutors, including but not limited to:
examination absence;
examination board errors;
school administrative errors;
malpractice investigations;
special consideration decisions;
significant interruptions to schooling;
medical circumstances preventing normal participation;
any other exceptional circumstance beyond the reasonable control of Atlantis Tutors.
13. Behaviour and Conduct
Atlantis Tutors aims to provide a respectful, supportive and professional learning environment.
Students and parents are expected to communicate respectfully with tutors and staff at all times.
Atlantis Tutors reserves the right to suspend or terminate tuition immediately where there is:
abusive or threatening behaviour;
repeated disruption of lessons;
harassment of tutors or staff;
safeguarding concerns;
persistent failure to comply with these Terms;
repeated non-payment;
behaviour that makes continued tuition inappropriate or unsafe.
Where appropriate, Atlantis Tutors will attempt to resolve concerns before ending tuition.
Nothing in this section prevents Atlantis Tutors from terminating tuition immediately where safeguarding or safety requires immediate action.
14. Safeguarding
Atlantis Tutors takes safeguarding extremely seriously.
All tutors working with students are expected to maintain professional standards of conduct at all times.
Tutors who work directly with students are required to hold an enhanced DBS check where appropriate for their role.
Parents remain responsible for ensuring that students have a safe and suitable learning environment during online lessons.
Atlantis Tutors may suspend or terminate tuition immediately where safeguarding concerns arise.
14.1 Communication with Students
Where parental consent has been provided, tutors may communicate directly with students for educational purposes only.
Such communication is limited to matters including:
homework;
lesson reminders;
scheduling;
GCSE Mathematics support;
answering academic questions;
general educational guidance.
Tutors will not knowingly use direct communication with students for unrelated personal purposes.
15. Marketing and Testimonials
Atlantis Tutors continually seeks feedback in order to improve our services.
Parents may be invited to provide:
Trustpilot reviews;
written testimonials;
video testimonials;
feedback regarding their experience.
Providing a review or testimonial is entirely voluntary.

anonymised examples of student work;

No personally identifiable information relating to a child will be published without the explicit consent of a parent or legal guardian.
Parents may withdraw previously granted permission at any time, and Atlantis Tutors will make reasonable efforts to remove future use of the relevant material.
